Hey Monsta

I ordered a ARE Z series shell for mo truck. I want to wire the light inside the shell into the dome light circuit. This would allow the kids to open the truck's door to activate the dome light in the shell. The GEM would switch it off after 45 minutes if the truck's door remained open. Now for the question. Where would be a good place to tap into the dome light circuit? Would the GEM unit take the additional load? Your opinions please.

Hey Monsta

Although I am no real electrical guru, I know enough to not try and tap into the GEM. I would try and either tap into the bed light or one of the interior lights.

Maybe someone who has done this before can shed some more light (pun intended ) on this subject.
