I need to cut a small portion of the metal tube frame on my pickup and would like a suggestion on which tool I should use. I need something affordable and available at the local home store. Can I simply buy a metal cutting blade to go with my circular Skil saw? I only need to make one cut. Actually, maybe two. I also need to cut the tubular tongue on my galvanized boat trailer so i can shorten it.
Hey there,
If you have access to an air compressor, you could use a cutting disc on a rotory grinder. Harbor Freight for a cheapy probably under $40.00. Would advise making your cut with radiused corners, or at least get some help in laying it out so you do not weaken the structure. Be careful that there are no lines or wires in the path on the cutting disk, or you will make a small job a big one!!! *smile* Hope this helps, Rotorman
