prevent rusting disks?

I want to clean up the breaks on my truck but if I do they will just rust again. Is there any way to prevent this?

Thanx JJ

lol. That is not exactly what I had in mind. I know that the surface where the pads rub will keep clean but the edges where the fins are rust almost imediatly. It there a viable solution?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I suppose you could take them off, sand blast them, and then mask and paint the edges with the fins. Seems like a lot of work for something you can't hardly see. I would use something like engine paint, barbeque paint, or other high temp paint, though. Ted

OK then... That's a little different than what I thought you were getting at.

I agree with ted. Find some high-temp paint in the color of your choice, sandblast the edges, prime then paint. Be sure and use primer if you want the paint to stick more than a coupe of months.
