Stuck in park with engine runnig
I'm trying to fix my sisters 99 4wd Ranger. She was having problems with here 4wd engaging. I followed the suggestions fron this site and cleaned up the motor on the trans case. 4wd is working great now. But it seams I somehow made another problem. If you start it in Park you cant take it out of park. With the engine off, if you turn the key a little you can put it in neutral, start it and then put it in drive. Any Ideas???

I should be a little more specific. It will not come out of park no matter what. (engine runnig or not). It will start in park but then you cant shift out of park. I can turn the key a little and shift into neutral. If you start it in neutral you can shift into any other gear.But if you shift into park you will have to turn it off and start over. Thanks for any ideas
