I had the front ones in for about a month before I had the time to finally get the rears ones in. Holy schmoly, the rear shocks are twice the strength of my stockers. At 24k mi, they felt OK. But the Bilstiens.....I needed both hands to compress the shock to put it in the bracket. I could not hold it closed with just one hand laying under the truck. They also picked up the stance a little.
The handling is great, better than new. The truck just soaks up the potholes. The feeling is very firm, but not harsh at all. The truck no longer rattles over bumps.
I give these shocks a 10. A definate must buy.
Sounds great, I am thinking of changing the factory shocks on my 02 PSD F250. What did a set of four run you? Do you know if they make a set for the diesel?
Steering stabilizer replacement. I haven't seen one from Bilstien. I don't think they make it. But double check with thier website. I know Rancho makes one and I'm pretty sure Pro Comp does, too.
The set of 4 was @$320. I paid a little more than I should have. But it was through a local speed shop that I have been hounding for information on lots of subjects. So it was more of way to say thanks to those guys for the advice. I have seen them as cheap as $60 a shock. Forget where, though. As for it being different because of the diesel, that's a good point. I can only tell you to check thier website or with a local shop to look it up.
Good luck, everyone.
