4x4 w range wont work

4x4 w range wont work
93 bronco, electronic shift, will shift into 4 high, but wont shift into 4 low. i put the truck in neutral. Dont even here a click from the computer. Any ideas where/what to check.

Electric shift is a pesky thing...If you are getting into 4-hi then that means at least part of the system is working. You said you put the truck into neutral, (assume you also mean at a complete stop) then I believe you have to still press the 4-hi button, let it click around and then press 4-lo button to go into low. (At least that is how I remember it...been a while since I've gone into 4-lo!)

Thanx for the reply's, before the accident i went into 4 low, so i know how, it's not workig. trust me LOL
Actually it was wierd, it wouldn't work until i put it in reverse, went back a hair, then back into neutral.
Now i tried every thing under the sun. (Exept magic dust)

Could be a number of things but since it will go into 4 high just not 4 low then I would lean towards a prob with the t-case 4wd motor thingamajig. (I always forget the name of that part.) It is what engages your 4x4. It is common prob for it to get stuck, go out etc. Usually all it take is to take it off of the t-case, open, clean, etc. But if that doesnt work then replacements are not really expensive.
