I have installed a 10k resistor on my ICP sensor and am pleased with results in power and increased fuel economy. It seems to compliment my Microtuner program. The only side effect I have noticed is an increase in idle speed. Are there any ill effects resulting from extended towing of a 10,000# load with the installation of the resistor? I have not pulled a trailer since I had installed the resistor.
Your EGT's will be just a touch higher, but probably not enough to bother you, and I'm sure you've noticed the touchy throttle that the resistor gives... it can be bothersome at stoplights and in parking lots and such when loaded heavy.
Yep, I can switch them on the fly. I normally just leave it on the 10K. I switch it off when the wife and kids are on board for the smooth throttle, and I pretty much only use the 5.6K when I'm lined up next to some guy I really want to get out in front of, or if I want to smoke out some riced up punk in the right lane.
Ok guys I have read enough about this 10k mod that I think I want to try it. Where can I get the info to install it ?? And is there a parts list I need to follow..??
