I just put a junk yard automatic trans (c-6) in my 86 f150. Took it for a road test. It feels a little-bit like a rumble when it starts moving.
I put a new filter in trany, but I did'nt change the trany module yet!
My question is? could it be the old module from the junk yard trany making it feel like it is rumbling???? It only happens in 1st before it shifts to 2nd.
or!
Can it just be a band ajustment, or the torque converter is bad???.
Thanks, Al

My c6 has had some sort of pump whine or gear noise in first gear ever since I bought it. That's been 10 years ago, and it's still whining, and still running good.
