Bellhousing pattern
Hey all I have a question for all you cleveland engine gurus. I just received a 1971 400 from a friend. He got it from his uncle and has no info on it. If I remember right there was some 400's made in 71 with the smallblock bellhousing pattern. So my question is how do you tell the difference between the three different bellhousing patterns. I would really love it if it was a smallblock pattern....make a e4od or Aod swap a lot easier

These blocks are rare and very hard to find. Recent info has proven they are sometimes found in vehicles prior to '73 with a D1** casting number.
