V10 VSS wire
I need help. Unfortunately, I am installing a driving monitor (for work) (plus I can log mpg) in my 2000, f350, 4dr, 4wd, sb. It appears to be a simple install once you know the location and color of the vehicle's VSS (variable speed sensor) wire. All of the other work trucks are 7.3psd and use a small grey wire with a black stripe located on the firewall behind the brake pedal. In my truck, this wire appears to do nothing. One of the V-10 vans has the speed sensor wire tagged into a red wire with a pink stripe........I can't find this wire.......any help or suggestions.
I would rather not run a wire through the firewall into the engine compartment......
the vss on the trannie & it will follow all the way thru on the plugin
all ford wiring harness follow color thur from point to point.
