i have a 97 f250 HD with v8 7.5L and was wondering approximately what the stock horsepower would be. thanx.

Pretty sure it's 245hp. and 395 ft.lbs.of torque.I'll be able to check for sure tomorrow and will post again if it is different than what I posted.

If I recall correctly for that year, HP is 245 @ 3600 rpms and torque is 400 at 2200.

Here's what's listed in the 96 catalog,(the specs.should be the same for 97)Hp.245 @ 4,000 rpm,Torque 395 @ 2,400rpm(manual trans.)Torque400 @ 2,200rpm with 4spd.auto.trans.
