Question Turbo

was up ever one i have been thinking about going to a junk yard and riping a semi turbo out of it. just one problem i dont now what the hell im doing. i have a 1978 f 250 2wd with a 400ci i dont now a lot about them i just want to learn more about it and where would the intercooler go????..........

my advice is if your that honest as to what not do/could do - i would do alot more research first...turbos are tricky little things to begin with...and everything is proprtional and relies on another /all part(s) junkyard turbos take a little math and information...plus hooking up the thing, physical size restrains, manifold building, engine cooling, intercooler - delta t charts, tuning - fuel delivery...on and on...a SC is a little better starting point to learn forced applications...in my two cents...some easy and cheep information was the past few months of HOTROD magazine "how to turbo any engine."
