Got my MAC Intake on!
It is going to vary with trucks, but it will depend on current mods as well as how you drive. I know mine isn't all that great because I'm always floor boarding it everywhere like an idiot.
Just an intake...1 maybe 2 mpg's?

Here's a 'how-to' for ya! (plus, the MAC Intake came with detailed instructions...)
Installing the MAC Intake:
1. Disconnect the battery using a ratchet and an 8 mm socket. Then disconnect the wiring harness connected to the Mass Air Sensor on the intake tube. (It will be the plug on the tubing closer to the filter box...just unplug it.)
2. Loosen the hose clamps holding the intake elbow inplace at the throttle body and the air box. Remove the hose from the intake elbow (the hose connected close to the TB) and remove the intake elbow from box. You should use the same ratchet and socket with this.
3. This is the crappy part, but it's not hard. The airbox itself is held in by 2 extensions underneath which are held on by 2 grommets. It's kind of hard, but you'll need to 'carefully' pull it out from the grommets as well as the side fender wall. Once it is removed make sure the rubber grommets that hold the air box in place are still there. If they aren't, find wherever you dropped them and put them back in. These will be used to hold the new filter/bracket in place.
4. Unloosen the clamp holding the filter inside. Look for a couple of slits in the airbox that you can pry open. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the airbox. When you get it open, you will see the Mass Air Sensor inside. Just use a wrench or a 1/4 inch ratchet and a 10mm (I think) socket to take the screws off. Then, just disconnect the wiring and pull it out. SEE, THAT WASN'T SO BAD!
5. From here, you will start to install the system. It will come with all the necessary clamps, bolts, screws, brackets, gaskets, and everything you need for assembly. Start by putting the rubber adapter on the Throttle body and to the tube that connects to the TB. There will be 2 attachments that you will slide into the grommets that are now open. Slide them in with the screw they come with out. Take the black bracket/plate and place it over the attachments and screw it down.
6. After you have the bracket in place, bolt up the Mass Air Sensor the the other side of the bracket. This is where you will use the gasket and 4 bolts supplied for you.
Attach the filter to the fender side of the bracket with the supplied clamp it came with.7. Attach the Mass Air Sensor to the rubber adapter. Also, make sure the tube is fastened to the other end of the adapter. Again, all the clamps needed for this are supplied. There are 2 holes provided in the MAC tube. You will reconnect the hose to the TB end of the tube and reconnect the sensor plug to the filter end of the tube. Make sure you don't push the rubber grommet in while doing this. Reconnect the Mass Air Sensor wiring to the plug on the sensor itself.
8. Reconnect the battery and double check to make sure everything is tight and firm. Start the truck and listen to see if you hear any leaks. As the instructions say: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN CLAMPS!
Enjoy the ride! (yes, it is worth it no matter how many miles you have
)
trying to pull the budweiser cans off those plastic 6 pack rings was probably harder than installing the intake

I don't know about gas mileage increase, my trucks eats gas like a Hummer. I'm only averaging 14.5 mpg now, that's pretty sad. Some people have been posting that they're averaging 20+ mph, i wish I could get that out of my auto pig truck

Those Super Swamper 32 incher's will slow things down a bit, maybe give me better mileage. But then again, big **** might counter that effect.
