I did it to my 95 F-150 and for the most part, everything ran smoothly. I made or modfied my own brackets when I put the 72 F-100 D44 into my truck.
Not sure about width, but it would look like the older (late 60's early 70's) bronco front axle would fit. I have an 88 ranger I am thinking of doing this to this spring. If things work out, I'll let you know.

I have heard that too, about the Jeep CJ axles being close. I have also heard that some Scout's will fit . Worst case is I get a set from an older F-150 and make this thing a real wide track!! The ranger is going to be a pure offroad toy anyway's so the sky's the limit for function and performance.

KJETT I thought about doing that too but this is also gonna be run on the street so I am going to try and go to the law but if it wont work then I think I am gonna go trail only with it. I want to be able to get 44's on it when I am done.
