Question Redoing interior... have some ?'s

I am considering replacing my carpet with some of that roll-on bedliner. The carpet is already ripped out and the floor is clean enough to eat off of (not literally, of course). Has anyone else done this? I have heard of some guys with vinyl floor covers having problems with odor when the weather turns hot & humid.
Is there anything I need to know before attempting this project?

Thanks
