bassani y-pipe

I'm getting ready to buy a Bassani Y-pipe with converter for my 85 f-250. I know, but I have fitted 88-96 351W EFI exhaust manifolds (and I don't have an exhaust yet) so I need a newer exhaust.

What I was going to ask is, does the Y-pipe bolt up to stock manifolds, and does it have a 3" pipe coming out of the rear of the converter?

Also, any good online dealers?

thanx..

It does bolt up to the manifolds, but it's a little tight with the stock studs, but possible. The outlet will be 3", and I have the site that I bought it off in my favorites at home, I'll get back to you with it.

Cool. That is what I wanted to hear. Also, did you use the offroad or the CAT pipe? If you have the CAT pipe, what does it sounds like? Pretty loud with a muffler or pretty quiet?

I got the off-road and put a cat on (it's a long story) but anyways, I have a flowmaster 50 with my American Thunder catback and everyone else says it's loud, I don't really know becasue it goes out the rear. But, it is quite louder than the stock setup.

I was debating on doing the off-road and puting a highflow cat on. That only other thing I need to know is if you need the air pump running with the bassani cat. cause I don't have one.

the air pump is just to induce better reaction in the cat to convert exhaust gasses to cleaner air. you could concievably plug up the air pipe that is part of the y pipe

The cat probally comes with a cap on it, as long as you don't cut it off it won't be a problem.
