That cam should send you singing to about 5,000rpm if I had to guess if you are running stock heads and headers with a good 4bbl and stock compression. It will still leave you with a good bit of low end grunt also. It is quite a bit larger than the stock cam but not what I would call wild by any means. Gas mileae should be only slightly affected.

It really depends on what you have done to the engine already. That is a nice looking cam to wake up a stock headed engine without loosing driveability.

Thanks, yeah it does pretty good. I'm putting a new intake on it as soon as I can get one. Just wondering if I'm getting the right stuff for the cam, sounds encouraging. Could use some headers but other than that it already has a lot more power than the rear end can handle now at the low end. The intake is just because I pulled it to reseal and haven't yet got the courage to lift that thing again, plus I'm going for the chrome look on the air cleaner, valve covers and intake.

Take a look at the crane 343901 and 343941. www.cranecams.com

They might spark your interest also. Many people here are very happy with them.

BTW, I still have stock gears and axles in my rear end.

That's a sweet cam! It's just a little hotter than the stock 390GT/428CJ cam, probably what the cam would have been like if Ford made it today. You'll have plenty of low-end grunt and good vacuum for power brakes.
