what rear do I have

I have an 89 F-250 2x4 that I recently converted to 4 wheel drive I need to know what rear axle I have so I can buy gears and a locker I think its a sterling 10.25". how can I be sure?

Check the out hubs. If there is a big hub prutruding from the center of the wheel it is a full floater. Also if it is over 8500 pounds it is a full floater.

Yes it will be a Sterling 10.25 axle.
