Engine noise
Noise ? I get a sound for a second or two right after the trans shifts usually into drive or overdrive that sounds like a baby rattle. It sounds like it is around the top of the motor(alt.,turbo, ?)Not sure what the noise is. Any suggestions? It has done this since I bought it used. This is my first diesel so is this normal? Thanks for the help!!!

When I bouht my 95 PSD the cover that goes over the center of the engine (covers the fuel filter housing etc) was missing. I asked the previous owner about it and he said he took it off because it rattled too much. Might want to see if that is where the problem is. Easy to remove...
