lower ball joints

1997 f150 4x4 can anyone tell me how to replace lower ball joints? Thanks

alot of heat and a hammer... but if you go to your local autozone they should have the right tool to take them out.....and put them in..why do you think yours are bad?

Thanks for reply scooter. Truck went in for inspection at dealership, and they said it needs lowers and they would do the job for $400.00. Needless to say I'm going to do it myself, but I was wondering if they can be replaced without removing the torsion bars?
