Need some advice here. This morning I start up the truck without being plugged in and it start fine. Ran for about 5 minutes then died. I opened the housing up and saw gel all over the housing. I melted it all down and put in some diesel 911. Still willnot start. Ive had it plugged in for almost 4 hours now an still nothing. Just cranks, sometimes turns over for about 1 second. Whats going on, is this a relay or plug problem?
I've got the flubug so I may not be reading this right, the motor is turning over but wont fire up right? Could be a bad CPS..is the tach moving when the motor is turning over? If not CPS time more than likely. If I read his wrong I apologize profusely too much nyquill not enough diesel fumes.
Hope that fixes you up, one more flu induced thought is your hpop res full? Maybe someone who is not delerious (sp?) with a 102* fever will chime in with some other thoughts.
Yes, I put diesel 911 in both. I drained the fuel bowl, cranked it, opend it back up again and it was full of fuel. So that cancels out gelled lines, right? The hpop where is it in a 95?
Not neccassarily, but normally. Another possibility (that happened to me last winter) is that you got a slug of water in your last fill-up, and the inlet to the pump is frozen over. Mine would flow enough to fill the bowl, but not enough to support combustion.
The hpop where is it in a 95?
Same place as every other one, on top of the front cover. Take a look at the pics in International Tech's gallery.
I just read your other post (same subject). If it was ice in the bowl and not gelled fuel , move your space heater to under the fuel pump. Oh wait, does the 95 have a frame mounted electric pump?
Good idea. Now the neighbors are really gonna think im nuts. And the hpop, I cant seem to make it out from internation techs pics. Where am I supposed to be looking and what does it look like.
Thanks John. But I think I am done for the night. Its freezing out. I covered the the truck with a tarp and put the heater under there. I was think I tried cranking it from both tanks, what are the odds they are both frozen. Cant I check the fuel preasure while cranking? Im gonna leave the heater on all night, what if in the morning it still doesnt start what do I check next?
