I am going to install new rotors due to the pulsating pedal and wondering for everyday driving with some offroading what brands are recommended. Are the autozone, napa, pep boys, etc rotors the norm for most buyers?
Depending on how much off-roading you do, the autozone and napa brands would be fine. I run them on my 88 and have had no problems with them. however, if you do a lot of heavy driving, you might want to consider going with a better rotor.
i ran the auto zone roaters on my 88 and beat the ever loveing **** outa it ....was 16 first truck hammered it for about 1.5 years off roading snow racing through city side streets hammering then stopping... i did everything and never had to change them ......screwd up my fare share of pades though and tires and rear quarter and exhasut and head gasket for the final blow but the breaks were great and strat from auto zone albany i think they were.
