My bronco got busted into last night. They stuck a screw driver into the back of the door and pryed the glass untill it shattered, leaving a nice crease in the door.
They ripped out my cdplayer and broke the woodgrain dash bezel doing it.
And to top it off, they stole my black snap-on leather work gloves right off the top of my dash.
These bandits hit about 5 or 6 other cars around the neabrohood.
To my luck tho, they did'nt see the 800 bucks worth of tools in the back.
I feel your pain, my truck was broken into about a month ago, two weeks after my old car alarm went out they got my radio and a few other small things. they broke the vent window. It was 130 bucks to replace. I am getting a nice new car alarm on sunday, then I am getting a proximity sensor when i get some more money
Hey buddy i've been there and it sucks. But look at it this way,at least they didnt get the truck!!I bought a wood grain bezel for my 84 on ebay for 15 bucks so check it out and you may have some luck.
its not the stealing that bothers me. its the fact that they're cowards. if they walked right up to me in the middle of the day and said, "i'm gonna steal your crap." that would be one thing. they have to sneak around and steal because they're embarassed that they've reached rock bottom. the reason they didn't take your tools is because they didn't know what they were. they've never worked a hard day in their life lol. i'd hop on ebay and look for some replacement parts.
Yea, when I get some money, I'll have to start ooking on e-bay for bezels. I have replaced the glass with the one out of my 83 bronco door, it just isent tinted, like my 82 windows are. It was a pain to use the shop vac and get all that glass out of the bottom of the door.
Now I find my self singing to myself cause of a lack of radio.
Thanks for the replys guys, So far I'm parking my bronco in the back yard inside the fence, just to make myself feel better.
I still haven't figured out a good way to get the glass out of the door. My Bronco was broken into three times and there's still glass in there that I can't get out.
