I'm David, I've got a 91 Silver Anniversary Bronco that I bought 2 summers with only 24,000 miles on it. Got a steal because the financer wouldn't finance what the dealer was asking. They'd only finance $9500... They did my bartering for me!
Anyway, It still had the original Goodyears on it. It had a stack of reciepts for sears batteried in the glovebox. I think that was the only thing ever replaced on it.
Anyway, I also have an 85 Mustang SVO, and frequent those sites more often, since it is my "toy". But lately I've been wanting to do some stuff for the Bronco, so I've been lurking here, and have recently posted a few questions that I couldn't find thru searches.
I also had a 88 Eddie Bauer that was a winter beater and offroad toy, and a 66 Bronco that I sold before finishing.
Anyways, I plan on being in this forum quite often, and appreciate all of the help you can give me.
Welcome then, nice to meet you, as you may have noticed during your 'lurking' we have a close knit family and you are more tahn welcome While I cannot offer much advice on the Bronc, There are plenty who can.
Yes, it's easy to get addicted to car forums... I doubt I'll be as big a visitor here as I am at the SVO sites though. I'm just doing a couple specific thing to the Bronco to make it a better daily driver. Things like Gas mileage, power and better handling. I just want to bring it up to par with the newer SUV's that ride better, handle better and get slightly better mileage. I love my bronco, and if I can achieve these things, I'll not be tempted to trade it in. I really enjoy not having a car payment... More money to play with, ya know? Plus you just can't buy a new SUV that doesn't have that "soccer mom" aura. And you can not get a fullsize 2-door at all. I like my big manly Bronco.
