Picture format...

Does anyone know how to change the format of a picture stored on the computer? I'm trying to upload some into my album here and they are in the wrong format.

it depends on your software dusty. If you have PhotoShop, PhotoImpact etc you should be able to open the file you want and when you go to save as... it will have a drop down in the dialog box where you can change the format to .jpg, .bmp etc. Good luck

If you don't have anything like photoshop, etc., there is a really nice freeware piece of software (IRFan View) that can convert single images, or batch convert a whole directory of images. This is an overall nifty piece of software.
You can get more info or download at
http://www.irfanview.com/

Yeah. These were taken on a friends camera and when he e-mailed them to me they ended up in Kodak format. I can't change it no matter what I try.

I'd love to, but as I've not posted 25 times yet I am not allowed to e-mail. I'm sure you can. So e-mail me and then I'll have yours. Thanks so very, very much. Dusty

The program that comes with Windows, "MS Paint", may be able to open the Kodak file.

Then just resave as jpeg.

Paint worked! Thanks so much guys for sticking in there with me. Take a look at my "Frankenstein" and let me know what you think! It runs GREAT! I just need to find a cab where it was crushed in hurricane Isabel. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET HER ON THE ROAD AND BACK IN THE BOGS WHERE SHE BELONGS!
