I'm a newbe have 2 Problems, need advice!!.

I bought a 95 PSD F-250, with 133K, Manuel tranny, I just noticed I have a oil leak at cold startup that stops once the engine warms up. The leak is where the 2 or 3 inch tube comes into the oil filter housing. Is there a O ring or something there??? My second problem, it seems like I have a slight vibration kind of like a bad u joint but I only feel it under 2K rmp in 1st or 2nd gear. Any ideas would be appriciated. Also I have been starting the truck in first gear, is this correct???
Thanks Diego

Welcome aboard! Let's take your questions one at a time:
I just noticed I have a oil leak at cold startup that stops once the engine warms up. The leak is where the 2 or 3 inch tube comes into the oil filter housing. Is there a O ring or something there???
Yes, there's an O-ring that seals it there. Do a search, and you should be able to find details.
My second problem, it seems like I have a slight vibration kind of like a bad u joint but I only feel it under 2K rmp in 1st or 2nd gear. Any ideas would be appriciated. Also I have been starting the truck in first gear, is this correct???
It sounds like you might be starting to show signs of wear on the dual mass flywheel. There are aftermarket replacements available that will perform better. Do a search under "LUK".
Though I have an automatic, I think most guys start in 2nd, unless they're towing heavy.
Good luck, and enjoy your truck.

I think the "tube" you are talking about is the oil cooler. I hpe you can get an answer. I have the same problem with my 1995 F350 PSD. Kinda seems like the oil pressure is so high (around 75 psi at idle) when the engine is cold that it causes a leak. I posted the same question a while back but didn't get any responses...

In the upper right hand corner, at the top of the page, theirs a tab for "Search". If you click on that, it'll walk you through it. Currently, there's too much load on the server, so it can't process a search, but after "rush hour" it should allow you to.

freddie,,, you can also do a general search using the browser search. the browser is the thingie you used to get in here, there should be buttons at the top of the screen ... back ... home ... search ... favorites ... etc. just hit the search button and go from there. good luck and keep us posted to what you find. bill
