460 Timing Chain Broken while idling??
My timing chain went while the truck was idling in gear, and I was wondering if the valves would hit the pistons?? It is an 88 FI, as far as I know it WAS a stock cam, but it did have the straight up timing set in it when I opened it up. The reason I ask is I found two bent pushrods, number 5 from the front on the right bank, and number 4 from the front on the left bank. It is back together now, but how much should I be worried?? Thanks.

Definitely need to fix this problem and check the pushrods, valve stems etc. You could potentially crack a valve guide and then you have a problem, so inspect and fix before runnig it more.
