Question drag link to pitman arm help

hi i had to jack up my 460 engine and the drang link had to get move out of the way. my friend pulled the drag link to far out now i can get the dang thing to go back in . the steering wheel was not move since the drag link was taking off. do i need to jack up the truck and turn the wheels and steering wheel to line it back up? i dont want to screw up the steering. its a 1986 f250 4x4 460 4speed manual.

thanks
mike

Or you could just mark the adjuster, lengthen the drag link, drop it back in, and the tighten it back up to your marks, then have it aligned.

do i mark the drag link ajuster or pitman arm and which one do i loosen?. i was thinking about turning the steering wheel all the way to the left and turning the wheels all the way to the left then hooking up the drag link.

thanks

MArk the drag link adjuster. Make sure the wheel is centered or at least in the same position relative to the tires and then hook it up.
