First I, I think I can speak for all of us by saying "WE" collectively, are very thankful for the time you are taking to collect our info. Questions:
1. What are you going to do with this data?
2. How much data do you need?
3. What action do you think a huge MNC like FMC will take?
I have a 5/27/03 motor build date and I thought I escaped the injector problems. 2 days ago I went in for the recall flash to find out two of my injectors needed replacement--yes I have the C94s (also, I did post my problem to your thread).
Reading other owner's threads, it sounds like we have no recourse, except to wait for each injector to fail, only then will FMC act. The problem, I don't want to be hauling my boat and family to Needles, Calif when this happens.

The idea of the data collection is to build a matrix or spreadsheet that
will simplify the information into a readable format. We all read about problems, however, do all the build dates between 01/ 03 and 06/03 have no computer PCM re-flashes. Is there a certain build date that has no problems is there one that has a tremendous infant mortality rate on the electronics, or injectors. Is there one particular re-flash, that after 600 miles 94’s (injectors) start failing.
Do not kid yourself for one second, Ford has this information and they have their own matrix built, they know when the chance of something failing in relationship to the odometer reading is coming up. I would give my right……….well anything to see it. We are guaranteed it is proprietary information that is highly guarded. We are building our own. I will need help from Dennis or Ken to figure out how to post this so any one can view it. This is not easy to build.
It will only work if we can get the sampling rate high, like 200/300, probably need more than that.
Everyone can help by sending new folks to the thread, use MLF250 post, as a format.
It is simple and will be easy for data entry. The more the words the harder it is to filter out the data.
THIS WILL BE HAND ENTRY; you can see why I would like simple posts. Below is how I send folks over. Be careful about linking….the blow thread…test first so you understand the system.
"it sounds like we have no recourse" DO NOT EVER THINK THAT there is strength in numbers.
Ford reads this fourm
And I love Fords.......have 6 of them, from 1930 to 2003
Thanks
Tim

ODOMETER reading at time of problem is critical.
In addition, please read more instructions, bottom of first page, posted by Tim L
Tell as many as you can about this thread.
The simpler the writing (posting) of “problem/odometer” reading………….the easier it will be to collate. Do not need many words. I must reduce all the date into a usable format; extra words will take more time to complete.

Being organized as a group is very powerful!
The way to overcome ignorance is to collect information……………I for one was ignorant about the 6.0, have never owned a diesel before Oct of 03. This is all new to me.
... a vertical learning curve............ it is has been.
