99 Ranger 2.3l
1) How do i tighten my throttle cable? There seems to be no adjusting bolts or anything and there is allot of slack.
2) When i make a hard stop my brakes make a "ticking" noise.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If you want to take the play out the throttle cable this can be done inside the cab. Where the peddle arm attadhes to the throttle cable underneath the dash you will see the pressed cap on the end of the cable. Next to this there is a spring, if you play with it you will notice about a 1/4" gap. Take a couple of cable ties and put them betweem this spring and the cap. This will help with the throttle response.
As far as the brke question that is not my cup of tea. My only thought is ABS?
