Hi,
My son wrecked a '90 Aerostar. He needs to replace the grille, left marker/signal, left headlight bezzle and front bumper assy. Can any of you help me out here and tell me what other years are interchangable with a 1990 for the parts listed?
I don't know for sure, as I've never done this, but I think the structure of all Aerostars are the same. As such, I think all the outer trim parts from all years should exchange. The grill from the 1990 and up cars are of the same style, so you should be able to use a newer model. In 1992 or thereabouts, Ford went to a flush mount headlight, so the mounting hardware and bezel are all different. But if you removed ALL the headlight hardware, you should be able to install all the parts from a newer car. I think the front bumpers were the same as well.
If you have a scrap yard in your area, the best thing to do is to take one of the old parts with you to compare.
