Hello !
yes they do remove the valance and the crash bar.
but you can put the valance back on if you notch it out.
It actually looks better with the valance back on.it hides the crash bar brackets.
What size plow are you looking at?
they just came out with a new mount this year! looks pretty cool
one lever dismount and mount!
yes the new mount is called the minute mount 2 its all 1 piece welded and has cuirves to it, unlike the minute 1 wich is bolted together and square. im looking at an 8' hd minute mount 2. how large of a notch did it require? i am having it installed but i will have to replace the vallece myself, especially if the old brakets show through.
Did you bolt the light harnes to the grill or just hang it loose behind the grill? what does the nose do when plow is on? does it dive down? what front end do you have?
I don't remeber the size of the notch i'll look in the am its raining cats and dogs here right now .
I have snowplow pkg gives you x springs in the front,it goes down alittle but not alot,I got the 7.5 ,I didn't need the extra size and weight I don't plow for bussiness, just a few driveways besides my own.
thats a pretty heavey plow ,keep an eye on your temperature when plowing and also watch your front pivot points(ball joints)they don't like the weight for too long .Its common with these trucks ,but sure beats shoveling.
My wire connections come out between the bumper and grill, stay there all the time.Something i just found out the other day ,make sure they adjust the down speed or it will slam down, there is a quill adjust on the pump
for it.
