I have a 99 PSD and i want to put clearance lights on it. Does anyone know how much the dealer would charge to put them on. How hard are they to put on yourself??

If I can give one piece of advice it would be this... DONT DO IT YOURSELF ! Unless your a bodyman ( no, not that kind of bodyman Monsta) it is a job!
I tried it on an older truck I had a few years back, thinking to myself " how hard can this be, drill a few holes.. run a few wires and VOILA" Guess again....
Spend a few extra bucks and have a reputable body shop install them, you'll be happy with the results.
And I agree.... they do look KKKKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLL !

I installed them myself, and I didn't feel like it was too bad of a job. It the parts cost $43 from Ford, including the wiring harness and 5 lights. The factory wire harness connects behind the passenger side kick pannel. The most tedious task was marking out the holes. I went to the dealership that I bought my truck from and measured out where the lights were located on a truck that they had on the lot. After quadruple-measuring and marking the holes on my truck and saying a quick prayer, I was ready to drill the holes. I used a hole saw, but I have heard of guys using hydraulic knock-outs to make the holes as well. I went the hole saw route because a knock-out has potential of leaving a permanent "wrinkle" in the sheet metal when punching through the curved surface. The total job took me about 5 hours, but I really took my time and I also had to put up with my buddies "helping" me. (i.e. drinking my beer and watching me work.) Oh, and my dealer wanted $360 in labor to install, so they made my decision even easier.

I recently added them on my truck (I will post photos when I get a chance). It wasn't very hard. I used a kit I bought at Pep Boys for $20. All I did was measure to the center of the roof and then back 3 1/2 inches from the front window. I then used masking tape to mark the location of all the lights. I spaced the middle three lights closer together than the outside lights, just like the factory did. Once you lay out the location of the lights, position the lights in their location and stand back and make sure you like the way it looks. I then drilled the small hole for the wiring and used small self taping screws to secure the lights. I put some silicone sealer around all of the holes to make sure I would not have any leaks. The hardest part was taking down the headliner to do the wiring. The lights use the mounting screws for the ground and I wired the hot wire right into the factory switch. Total time 2 hours.

For $360, I guess I would tackle the job again too !!! I talked to one of our local body shops ( very reputable-even won an award) and they told me 2 hour shop rate ($72 per) plus shop supplies to do the job.
One of their bodyman told me he would do it for $50 on the side.
