After driving the GMC 2500 it is clear the Ford needs to tighten things up. I like Ford and think the longevity is better but mine is starting to rattle after 50K miles my 2000 was the same way. The 04 GMC I drove had 60K hard miles and was tight and rattle free. The F250 is showing it's age so I hope the 05 has a stiffer frame and looses the POS 4 speed trans, I hate that thing.
A 5 speed trans without the added power would be nice, add the extra hp to the V10 and I'm in. OH and keep the fricken seat belts of the seat. At 6'5" that realy sucks yet Cheb thinks it's a great idea for some reason.
A salesman at the local dealership told me to expect the same type of changes that were made in the F-150 between 2003 and 2004. I've been able to find no corroboration of this. Does anyone have any input on this?
Yes, the seatbelt in the seat idea sucks. I am 6'4 and I would like to stick my big foot up the A$$ of the guy who came up with that. That was the most painfull ride I have had in a long time. As a survior of a roll over accident. I rolled 3 1/2 times. So, not wearing the seatbelt is not an option.
Please don't go that way Ford!
