When I bought my 2001, I looked into ordering fitted seat covers. I looked at www.eclipse.com and a few others. I don't remember the exact amount, but they are expensive. (hundreds of $) I then talked to an auto upholsterer and found out that if I ever wanted to recover the seats it would cost only about $200.00 - $300.00 more than the seat covers. Decided to not get the seat covers. I do keep a towel on the back bench for the youngest ones pb&j sandwiches etc.
I just went to the local Canadian Tire (Walmart/hardware store?) and bought a set of bucket seat covers and a bench seat cover. They actually have the Ford logo embroidered in them. I think they're made by Penzzoil? Anyhoo, they are a little small and were hard to get on at first, but they've worn in pretty good, and actually fit quite nicely now. The only problem is the bench seat cover for the rear seat in the Crew Cab doesn't have a provision for the fold down arm rest in the center.
Overall, they do what they're supposed to, and at less than $100 CAN, a pretty good deal.
Like my dad always says, better get some seat covers so the next guy can enjoy factory clean seats.
I picked up a set at Target that fit like the dickens. Color even matched the factory color. I have the bucket and just put the covers on the buckets. Didn't mess with the middle 'seat' or the rear bench. Don't think I paid much more than 20-30 bucks for the set. My truck just turned 66,666 miles so I decided to get rid of the seat covers. I think I will keep the truck.

I've found 'pull-offs' (such as factory seats were upgraded to leather) on eBay, real reasonable. These are not 'covers' but replace the factory cloth (easy job). I've bought a couple sets, figuring to just replace the factory cloth, as it gets worn or dirty.
