Today I went to a friend of mine ho had a Laser Temperature gun.
We measured the temp on the Thermostat housing and it was about 89°C after driving the car for 20 minutes. The temp indicator gauge in the car showed almost HOT. The gauge stopped ad 2 mm under the red line.
So this wood mean that the new temp sensor I already built in is also faulty.
Are there different types so the give me the wrong one for this 2.9L engine?
In my Haynes manual I do not find a table with the resistances the Temp sensor shut give, thus anybody knows what this shut be.

Try here: http://www4.autozone.com/servlet/UiB...3d800f8d9b.jsp My Haynes manual doesn't have it either, but Chilton's does.
Which sensor are you trying to read? There are two engine coolant temperature sensors: one goes to the dash gauge and one feeds the engine computer. The information above applies to the one feeding the computer.
