Administrator vs Moderator?

Several times I have seen "The administrator says ..." or "the moderator says ...". Who is the administrator and who is the moderator? And what is the function of each? Just curious.

I'm the moderator for the forum here....I make sure things stay in order and to the rules...Ken, the webmaster owns this site, and dennis and eric are administrators that help keep the whole site in line.....

Administrators have full rights on all forums.

We cover the back of Moderator's, when they are busy.

Moderator's have the word *Moderator* under their user name on every post.

Administrator's have 3 different names

Webmaster = Ken
Assistant Administrator = Moi
Forum Manager = Eric

Hey, you trying to be funny?

I thought a moderator was someone who keeps modifying their Ford truck.

OK next question. Ryan50hrl how or why are you the moderator? Is this an "honorary" title or are you an owner of this forum? What are "full rights" and lastly, why Mil1ion did you leave out the other l? Just curious.

I can't answer that, I could ...But I can't .

Is this an "honorary" title or are you an owner of this forum?

You have to quailfy
Check the Site Announcements forum for the answer to who qualifies as a Possbile.

What are "full rights"

Ken,Eric & Myself oversee the FTE site and can do anything the program allows us to do.

We can do a few things that Mod's don't do.
(Btw ,It's a Secret)

and lastly,

why Mil1ion did you leave out the other l?

When The vanity License plates Finally became available in Alberta we were stuck with Maximum of 7 digits.

My Truck plate says "TheBrat"...I earned that nickname.

In 1988 I Finally got my Plate on my Mustang.

I worked for ABC Television for the 88 Olympics & it was during that time that I drove Roone Arledge ( President of ABC Sports at the time) commented several times that because of what he had heard about me driving celebraties around,he came to the realization that I was a "One In a Million" type person.

Well in order to have something that on a license plate, I had to replace and L with the 1 so it would read as "1 in a million"

Anything else

Just curious.

I know

Yeah, I thought of a guy who modifies his Ford truck while wearing sunglasses, and any time he is done with a mod he heads to the nearest shop and says "I'll be back" with austrian accent

The following is my weak parody of tying two posts that have a slight common thread. Please read with a sense of humor and know that I’m a reader and contributor (and respector) to the other post in inference.

You know, I’m beginning to believe that the FTE web site is fictitious. I mean really, who created this website in the first place? Or maybe no one created it, it just evolved over time... but from where and from what? One day there was Ford Trucks, the next day there was FTE? Or was it one day there was FTE and then Ford built trucks? This is way too confusing for me.

And have you ever seen the administrator of this site? Who are these people called moderators? And why do they write in support and knowledge of what the administrator wants? Oh sure, some of you posters may say that this site is real, but you guys have drank the cool-aide. Have you seen this admin guy? Oh some of you have “heard” from him, but how do you know it was really from him and not some guy behaving like him? Or even your own wish that it was from him? I think it maybe HAL!

And what about all those rules and guidelines, where do they come from and where do they come off in controlling my participation in telling me how to live on the FTE Site? I’m just as nice as the next Ford trucker. I drive the speed limit. I obey all the traffic rules. And I think I obey all of the posting rules at FTE. I don’t refer to them on a daily basis, but I think I know what they say and what they mean! So what if I’m close, close counts, doesn’t it? And besides, If they say that I mess up, I’ll pretend that I’m stupid and they’ll let me back in, won’t they? I don’t need these admins or mods to control my posts seeing that I’m leading a good life, do I? And why does it have to be just and only Ford? That’s not fair, is it? If I believe that Chevy and Dodge are just as good as a Ford, why can’t they be equally welcomed at FTE?

And why do some of you posters persistently try to persuade us who don’t believe that the FTE sight is real? What could you ever gain by my believing the same as you? What service do you think you are doing for us by trying to convince us that FTE is real and that those who created this sight are as well?

Nah, I say this sight doesn’t exist! It can’t! It’s too restrictive and controlling! No one knows when this site came about to the second; you all have good guesses, but I’m unconvinced why it’s here, when it came into being, and especially for what purpose. And how did you all get here? You must have come on your own. We all knew this site was here before we even had a Ford, right? Yea, that’s it, that why it’s here, it’s here for me, by me!

Oh it’s here, but not in the way you all portray! You can’t see the administrator, you hear from the mods from time to time but who says they speak for this admin guy? And who made the admin guy king over the FTE sight? If this person is real, how did he get this job? Nah, seeing that this sight is limited to only Ford owners, it has all these posting rules, it tries to tell me what is proper to post and… well, let’s just say I’m not convinced that FTE really exists…

What??? You say the Question is “Administrator vs Moderator” and not “FTE is an impossibility?”

Never mind….

DRRanger,

There's funny and there's ignorant.

Read this about the history.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/history.html

Read this about the carter.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/charter.html

Then you will see your joke is almost funny.

"And why does it have to be just and only Ford? That?s not fair, is it? If I believe that Chevy and Dodge are just as good as a Ford, why can?t they be equally welcomed at FTE?"

Because then it would have Dodgie and Chevit in the name.

Cute

Btw, My computer's name is HAL.

I named the other one ADAM.

King.... Huh ?

You must mean Ken.

Well, after meeting and knowing Ken for a while, you will realize what a great guy he is.

I like parodies, In fact I could produce a parody movie about almost anyone.

Thanks for the chuckle.

rlh,
Thanks for the history link. Neat information.

Mil1ion,
"Well, after meeting and knowing Ken for a while, you will realize what a great guy he is."

You know, I kind of assumed that. Anyone who has Animal as his avatar has to be a great guy.

rlh,

Thanks for the info and help. In creating a weak parody, facts sometimes get twisted to make a case and I’m sure that you are aware of what side the paradox was intended to portray.

Even so, you knew what was true and you wanted to take the time to tell me, and what I’ll take as a gesture of friendship and help me better understanding the founding of FTE, so for that, I appreciate your reaching out to set the record straight.

Thanks!

And HAL was just a guess, but it’s neat to know that it “fit”.
