New Excursion seat sizes smaller....

....is it my imagination or are the new Excursion front seats smaller on my butt than the old ones? They seem about 1.5 inches shorter under the thigh and about 2 inches smaller side to side. I'm comparing my 2000 XLT premium with leather buckets to my brother in laws 2003 EB. Not to mention his tiny little rear buckets compared to my lazy boy size bench. Those things really stink.

Yes, they are narrower than the 01 and previous models. The seat on my 02 Exc. feels better for me than my previous 01 Exc. One of the consumer's complaint/survey/magazine test ride was that the seats were to flush/flat that you(butt) could actually slide a little side to side during left or right turns at moderate speed. There were quite a few changes or may call it upgrades done on the 02 Exc. To name a few, the steering was stiffen which I really like way better than the 01. The middle seats slide forward, which makes it easier to get in the rear seat. The seats are more sporty, better support IMO. And the main reason I traded my V10 01..........Powerstroke Diesel..NO REGRET AT ALL.

Umm - I don't know. At 6'3" and 240 I think I'll stick with the big seats. Those little baby seats reming me of something out of a Toyota for soccer moms. No offense intended.
