Help with a old ford
I've got a mess, I bought a 82 Pickup for a rebuilder the previous owner had the 302 and AOD trans ?? Rebuilt, he made a trip to Florida and back to the East Texas area before parking it I came across it while delivering water to now a regular customer The Ford had been setting for 2 ½ years under a elm tree the primer black aerosol can paint job was covered with tree sap. Well the smart one said the thing was junk and he would sell it right know for $200.00 if he knew someone that had $200.00 I handed Mr. Smart two crisp bills and asked about the title and that I would be back tonight to get it .No problem and hope you got a trailer! I replied probably wont need one. He laughs and so did I four hours later when I drove it home My problem is, the truck was manufactured 06/82 It’s got a 4 speed auto trany the Door Code is T under transmission What transmission is it and where can I get a exploded view of the trans assembly .It has 14 Pan bolts and stamped. With R21D1150073 on the lower rear of the case and FKB23546 J on the upper side of case is this transmission worth messing with? The inside looked good and filter had very small traces of metal
