I'm confused (a normal situation for me). Where is this coupler on the column. If it's at the bottom of the column then it is part of the rag joint as Ford sells it. Some auto parts stores sell just the fiber ring that goes between the two metal brackets. The Ford part is both metal brackets, the fiber ring (now a polymer I think) and the wire for the horn operation.
The rag joint has a bottom coupler that goes to the steering box.
It also has a top coupler that clamps on to the bottom of the steering column. I can find the bottom coupler with the rubber disc, but I can't find the top steering coupler.
Does Ford sell the whole unit?
I was wondering if anybody had that piece for sale? Maybe they did a column swap?
