Column Coupler ???

Where can I purchase a Column Coupler for a 1979 Ford truck,
besides FORD ???

I need the Coupler that hooks to the steering column , not the rag joint that hook sto the steering gear box.

I'm confused (a normal situation for me). Where is this coupler on the column. If it's at the bottom of the column then it is part of the rag joint as Ford sells it. Some auto parts stores sell just the fiber ring that goes between the two metal brackets. The Ford part is both metal brackets, the fiber ring (now a polymer I think) and the wire for the horn operation.

I've looked for a coupler also and ford says it is NOT available.

the only way I found to get it new is with the borgeson steering shaft conversion, which replaces the coupler with a u-joint.

The rag joint has a bottom coupler that goes to the steering box.
It also has a top coupler that clamps on to the bottom of the steering column. I can find the bottom coupler with the rubber disc, but I can't find the top steering coupler.

Does Ford sell the whole unit?

I was wondering if anybody had that piece for sale? Maybe they did a column swap?
