1970's C-4 Leaking

At least I think it's a 70's model. The part # on the main housing started with a "D." Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It is leaking from around the shifter arm and the rear tail section. I'm not much of a tranny repairman, but the rear tail seal looks pretty simple to change. What is the correct name of the shifter arm seal and how do I change it? Of course, I want to do the repairs without having to pull the tranny. It's in a '68 F-100 2wd.

The truck was brought out of 5 years of storage about a year ago. I put about 250 miles on it from March '03 to June '03 and it never seemed to leak then. Since June, just sitting in my garage, it's probably lost 3-4 quarts. I did change the pan filter and gasket last March. Is there some problem I should be concerned about other than the faulty seals?
