Bronco mod help ???

Ok, now that Ive had my Bronco for a few weeks, my thoughts are moving towards some mods....but comming from a 3/4 ton truck Ive got a few questions...

1. what axle would we think is in the rear ?
2. would the independant front end stand up to the abuse of bigger tires 36's or 38's?
3. anyone ever do any type of axle swap..maby from a f250 ?

my '74 is so less complicated...lol

SAS = soild axle swap
TTB= Twin Traction Beam (the front IFS ina bronco)

The rear axle is basically the same as a ford 9" very similar to a D44

It all depends on what you are planning on doing with your truck .

The rear is a 8.8 , good for larger tires but no good if planning on running a gear taller than 4:56 .

The front is a D44 TTB , largest tire for sreet use 38 , off road I would stay under 35/36 .

I am running 44's on my D44 SA but am swappin it out right now for a D60 , not having any problems but going 8 lug and fell on a D60 for a good price .

The rear on the other hand can't handle my 5:13 gears , in 6,000 miles I have gone through two sets of spider gears and center pins . I gave up and got myself a stearlind 10.25 . I have never gone off road with the 8.8 but I can only imagine I would have blown the rear .
