Post Where is that sensor?

My ABS light flickers and sometimes stays on for a while. And also my speedo acts up. I have learned, through this forum, that there is a sensor in the rear axle. I intend to try and take this sensor out and clean and replace it this weekend. I haven't even looked under the truck yet, where is this sensor located and any special hints to use for this procedure? Thanks! Lariat Man

Where is that sensor?

Hey Lariat Man,

The ABS Speed Sensor is located on the top of the rear differential. I paid $12 for a new one at the dealership.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

Yes! clean the area where the sensor is before taking it out you don't want any dirt falling in !!!!!!
change your rear dif fluid if the sensor is covered in metalic chips or gunk!
