Question plugging in temp?

I have a 1989 F-250 with the IH 7.3L diesel. The batteries are about 6 years old but in good condition and the glow plugs are in excellent condition. About what temperature would I have to plug it in?

Just under freezing I'd say.

Thanks, that's what I would have guessed, but I wasn't sure.

I plug mine in around 10-15 degrees. I've left it unplugged to down around 0 before and it still started. Its never been cold enough that I didn't think it was not going to start.

Was -3 degree's yesterday. Mine fired after 2-30 second cranks. Stock GP setup, no heaters plugged in.
