360-460 swap
I am a new user in this forum and have been reading alot of heavy Ford swaps. I have spent my last dime on a 460 out of a 1983 2wd truck. Thought it was going to be pretty neat opening it up to find it all stock. Wrong....Hardly no carbon on the pistons and the valves were in real clean shape. On the top of the pistons is .040 and does this mean that this has been bored already and what would be my next plan of attack? How much can I bore this power plant.
This swap is going from a 360 to 460 in a 73' High Boy. I plan on using the original 460 firepipes and have a bellhousing that will fit my new process trans. Plan on porting the original cast intake and opening up the fuel/air ports. Any thoughts that would help?
Thanks...
