installing new injecters?
I usually smack the inertia switch while the engine is running then when it dies, most of the pressure is gone.
You may need a small pick to remove the o-rings. Sometimes they want to either stick in the rail or the intake when removing the injectors.
I usually unbolt the rail, take a screwdriver and gently pry up on it . Some injectors may stay in the intake, some in the rail. Once that the rail is free, just twist the injectors back and forth until they come loose from wherever they stuck at.
Spray a little white lithium or a light grease on the o-rings. I usually seat them in the intake first. Then start at one end and line up the injectors with the fuel rail and wiggle it down onto the injectors. When you reinstall the rail retaining bolts, the slots should be in about the same spot. You will see the mark from the bolt on the slot.
Turn the key on on and off at 3 second intervals after you have reset the inertia switch.
Check for fuel leaks, if none, start it up and check for leaks again.
Enjoy your new injectors,
Jimmy
