Just got finished replacing the front bearings on my 1986 f150 4x4.
Put new pads on but problem is when I went to bleed the brakes i could not get the bleeder valves to open on the front calipers on both sides .
My only thought was to take the calipers of and use a impact on them very carefully. I cant get a ratchet on them while the are on the truck as there is not enough room.
I wouldn't use an impact driver, too great a chance of breaking the bleeder off. Use a good penetrant to loosen them up first and break them loose with a 6-point, not a 12-point, socket.
Heat the caliper around the bleeder. It doesn't take much. Then use your bleeder screw wrench to crack the screw open. Watch out that you stay clear of the hoses with the torch.
