Question for Emtabmm

Could you give me some info on the newest rear main oil seal for the 6.0 PSD? I'd like to make sure thats the one I will be having installed. I had read it was the 3rd generation model. Do you have a part number for it? Also, I am wanting to know if there is a factory bulletin on the exhaust manifold leak that is causing exhaust fumes to fill the cab. I just got back from my dealer and he says he hasn't seen any factory bulletins on the exhaust leak, and for me to just turn off my defroster or A.C. if I am sitting still in traffic or idling I'm hoping i can print out some info to bring to him , because I sure didn't spend $44 grand on a truck that burns my eyes evertime I sit still in it when it's running. On the bright side, I had the new flash this morning and the truck is running great, Not that it ran bad to start with. Just the white puff of smoke when it was cranked up cold in the mornings. Thanks for any info you can relay. I appreciate all the time and effort you have put into this board to help us Fans of the Kerosene Burners!

I'm still getting the fumes since my flash. The mileage has gone from 15.7 to 17.5, and it seems to run better, But it didn't run bad to start with. This morning when I first cranked it, I did get the white smoke again.

Thanks for the info. I noticed the oasis report doesn't show the results of my trip to the dealer on the other day on 12/31/03. They blacklighted the dye that they put in earlier, and found that it was in fact an oil leak , and not just the assembly lube that I was hoping it would be. Now I have to take it in for the rear seal change out. I was hoping that they have come out with a new type of seal, Instead of just putting in the same leaky type of seal that was installed the first time. Is there a new part number and new seal yet? Also, Is there a general bulletin on the leaky exhaust systems? It seems alot of people are complaining about this on this board.--Thanks again Emtabmm.
