GOT LEAK AND CLUNK?!!!!!!
Just did first oil change. Everything looked fine.....down about 1 quart, but that's it. My first bit of confusion. The other day....which will lead to my next question, I was underneath just inspecting and tightening bolts, I noticed a slight drip of oil that ended up at the bottom of the bell flywheel cover (4R100). I looked all around the area, cleaned and let idle while looking.......no leak. I drove 25 miles, checked it again.....no leak(drip). Area around back of pan looks good, but the oil looks like it ran down the side of the starter. Where could it be coming from? I am confused!....more so than normal
Now for the second part. The reason I was underneath tightening bolts is because I have a clunk when I hit sharp bumps. It almost sounds as if a shock is lose or something along those lines. I have tightened everything I can think of and it is still there. Nothing is obviously lose or showing signs of movement. Anybody seen this before?
By the way, the ride is a '02 250 S/D 4x4 psd crew.
Look into the valley (if you can). My mind is cluttered with other stuff right now BUT I am certain that I have heard/seen this before. Someone is sure to hime in. I want to say that it is somewhat common...

Very hard thing to diagnose simply because most of us have had or have a noise like a clunk you describe but I have seen about 6 different things that it is. Ranging from ball joints to sway bar links to shock mounts etc. etc.
Got another look from under tonight after cleaning and driving. There was a slight drip right off the starter frame.....right side. It is runing to the lowest point....the bell housing/flywheel cover. I may try checking pan bolts and work up from there. Could there be anywhere from above that may be lose???? I hate to think it a rear main seal on an engine this new. I'm going to remove the flywheel cover and give it look. If anything comes to mind, Ken, I would appreciate your expertise. Thanks.........
