HEY MONSTA!
Appreciate your help on this 'un!
THE PROBLEM
The turbo pedestal has bad o-rings from the factory which causes a slow oil leak. If you notice any oil leaking from your Powerstroke, you should tend to it quickly. The oil pressure is extremely high on these engines and as a result, you could blow an entire oil pan's worth of oil right out the smallest of leaks. The easiest ways to tell if your o-rings are leaking is by looking at the plateau on your engine just under the Turbo, towards the back of the engine compartment. If you see any oil puddling up, have the turbo pedastal o-rings looked at. When a Powerstroke loses it's oil, it will fail to run because the fuel injectors rely on oil pressure. If for some reason your Powerstroke dies and you can't get it started again, check your oil level or more importantly, check your underbody and back tailgate/window to see if they are covered in oil!
for next week. I am keeping a close eye on it until then. Man I appreciate the help on this one Monsta! Had me a little worried 'cause oil leaks do me nooo gooood.
